I read the Reader’s Digest article today. So many of the symptoms mentioned sound like symptoms of the cykotine storm described in COVID, including the skin manifestation. I hope the kidney transplant medication is being trialed on COVID patients. Great article. My child has Mast Cell Activation and I wonder how all these things are related. With Mast Cell reactions she sometimes gets petechiae from heparin release. I wonder what this means for the clotting they are seeing in COVID. Praying COVID research unlocks information about Mast Cells and other immune mediators that can help entire populations of struggling people.
Thanks for your comment. We’re so sorry to hear about your child’s illness and hope she is doing well.
We also hope that there are silver linings that come from this terrible pandemic for Mast Cell Activation and other diseases in need of cures!
I’m so grateful for you. I have “mystery illness”. I felt what I’m sure was a cytokine storm last year and am now living on anti histamines. I’m so hopeful your research will provide much needed relief for me and the thousands of others who have it so much worse than myself.
Thank you!
